Mpumalanga's popular radio station, RISE fm, is delighted to unveil its exciting new line-up for 2023.
"We believe it's important to keep the station's sound fresh while maintaining a seamless listening experience for our audience," said Lance Claasen, General Manager of RISE fm.
Introducing some fantastic new talent, RISE fm is thrilled to welcome Carol Hobbs, the winner in the TV and Radio category of the 2023 M&G 200 young people under 35, who will join Bonginkosi Zulu (Thebigzill Onair) for the afternoon drive. Additionally, the talented Khutso Mamabolo (Vibe) will be hosting Saturday afternoons.
The new shows officially launched on July 1, 2023, and Claasen expressed gratitude to the departing staff, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
Furthermore, Claasen announced RISE fm's ongoing search for up-and-coming talent. Listeners with aspirations of becoming a presenter on RISE fm are encouraged to use the myRISEfm app to send a voice message with their best radio link. There are still opportunities available in the RISE fm line-up for undiscovered talents in Mpumalanga, and the next big thing could be discovered!

Weekdays: Monday – Friday
06h00 – 09h00: Jennifer Lubisi (JT), Zilungile Mnisi (news), and Nosipho Hadebe (sport) will form the all-female breakfast team. The segment includes the Kids-in-60sec quiz every morning at 07h10.
09h00 – 12h00: Tlotlang Moletsane will inspire and motivate listeners throughout the province.
12h00 -15h00: Kedebone Mkhabela (The Fabulous Mizz K) will entertain with a mix of entertainment news and fun talk topics.
15h00 -17h00: Carol Hobbs and Thebigzill Onair will ensure listeners have a laughter-filled journey home with updates on news and traffic.
17h00 – 17h30: Wandile Mazibuko hosts Taking Care of Business, keeping the province informed about all the important business news.
17h30 – 19h00: Marawa Sports Worldwide, hosted by Robert Marawa, is the leading sports show in South Africa, connecting fans to their sporting heroes.
19h00 – 20h00: RISE fm in 60 Minutes, hosted by Musa Sikhosana, provides an in-depth look at Mpumalanga and South African politics, holding political leaders accountable.
20h00 – 23h00: Fezile Manzini assists listeners with domestic issues, offering guidance on relationships and job hunting.

06h00 – 09h00: Princess Mobeng (Princess M) takes her audience on a tour of Mpumalanga, exploring different parts of the province.
09h00 – 12h00: Lilly Makofane (Lilly Wa Ga Makofane) hosts the RISE fm top 30, energizing listeners with the best songs in South Africa.
12h00 – 15h00: Vibe returns to RISE fm after many years, bringing a fresh familiar sound to weekend afternoons.
