Author and social activist Jackie Phamotse launched her final book of the Bare Series, titled Curtain Call. The book was launched on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Exclusive Books in Mall of Africa, Midrand.
Jackie hosted her fans, media, and other attendees at her final book launch, where she spoke about how her books connect and highlighted the growth and transformation of the main character, Treasure, throughout the series.
During the launch, Jackie shared that these books somewhat mirror her real-life story and have made a significant impact.
"The story somewhat reflects my own life story. It has created its own footprint since its inception," she mentioned.
Jackie Phamotse gained widespread recognition through her BARE book series, where she exposed the involvement of numerous celebrities, businessmen and women, politicians, and public figures in transactional sex.
The 31-year-old author also expressed that although she has made significant sacrifices for the Bare series, the time has come for her to let go.
"I have made many sacrifices for Bare, including court cases and death threats. But now it's done, and it's time to move on. I have written everything I wanted to write about Treasure, and I have revealed all the truth about her. Bare was a vision that haunted me persistently," she concluded.
