Hailing from KwaNongoma, Singer and songwriter, Imacsoul released a song that talks about the burden he is carrying.
Imacsoul mentions that this song was inspired by the tragedies he has been seeing on social media of what people go through and the kind of burdens they carry daily.
“ I’ve been paying close attention to what is going on, on social
media and looking at all the tragedies various people are going
through made me sit back and look at the world from a different
perspective.
“I come from a rural area and many who are like me who come
from small underdeveloped towns will tell you how we dream of making it big in a big city with bright lights. When I was writing this song I was not only penning my cries to the heavens but I
was conveying a message that many people have who carry a heavy load. There is a line in the song
which says Ngoba ukuhlabelela kuyamelapha odabukileyo, (kuyamelapha)- and when I wrote this verse I thought of all the amazing artists who heal through preaching. This song is an anthem for anyone who wants to sing out to the heavens,” he mentions.
Having released a few singles and an EP titled Ukhehlegume - Imacsoul who is currently in the studio is working on a full body of work. “ Ngithwele is just a taste of what's to come and I aim to still grow as a songwriter and artist”
